It is often said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step… so I thought I would start at the very first step and introduce you to our company.
The Whole Estate was established in 2013, with the sole purpose of helping families and their loved ones in transitional stages of life with their personal belongings.
We originally didn’t know what this would look like, based on personal experience from our own life’s journey which was nothing less than life-changing.
A few years back, we lost our Mom due to complications from open heart surgery.
Her problem seemed to come out of the blue and caught us all by surprise, The tragic loss left us empty and a little hopeless.
Being forced into the harsh realization that Mom was the glue that seemed to keep us all together, we found ourselves in a situation of how to move forward.
We gathered together and had to make serious decisions on what to do with Dad and what to do with her belongings.
The mourning process took its toll on each of us differently, but we worked together and got the job done. Hence, the birth of The Whole Estate……….
We quickly concluded that not everyone is able or has the ability to call in family members to help with these major decisions. It was at this time that God placed on our hearts a vision for the company.
A company that could reach out to families and walks alongside them during difficult times. A company that could help in making decisions that seem to be so trivial, but at the same time be a life change.
Our company name is from Galatians 4:1, where the scripture says:
“What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate”.
The scripture is referencing a physical estate. We believe that along with a physical address there is a completeness that can be described as well. The Whole Estate represents everything in a kingdom.
The estate represents security and provision. A place that one can reside in peace. With a fast and changing world, this place is sometimes hard to imagine. Our desire at The Whole Estate is to help families regain that sense of peace.
